Multi-Sector Skills Recruitment Mission to the UK and Ireland

The Nova Scotia Office of Immigration is working closely with partners and the business community to identify and anticipate Nova Scotia’s workforce needs and to address shortages of skilled that exist in identified sectors. The UK and Irish markets continues to stand out as a reliable source of immigrants for NS. In March of 2013, the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration plan to lead a multi-sector skills recruitment mission to London, Dublin, Aberdeen and Manchester.
The Nova Scotia Office of Immigration is currently exploring the interest of community partners, business organizations and employers to participate in this mission, with a particular focus in several sectors such as: Engineering, Energy, Ocean Technology, Health, Aerospace and Defense; Information Technology; Financial Services and Life sciences.
Join our Nova Scotia Pavilion at the following Working In shows:
- London, England – March, 16 & 17 – Working In Exhibition
- Dublin. Ireland – March, 19 – Working In Exhibition
- *Aberdeen, Scotland – March, 21 – Working In Exhibition
- Manchester, England – March, 23 & 24 – Working In Exhibition
*Possible an add-on event in Glasgow instead of Aberdeen’s event pending number of companies interested.
Marketing of the Employers before the show
Participant benefits:

- In-market access to any of or both shows mission pavilions, and possible onsite interview rooms.
- The Province of Nova Scotia will attract NS employers to co-exhibit on the Province of Nova Scotia Pavilion stand.

- Customized marketing program that will seek out potential migrants with skills that match the needs of the employers
- Individual single page profiles within the Official Show Guide
Note:
There is no additional cost to community partners, business organizations and employers interested in participating in the NS pavilion. However, organizations and employers are responsible to cover transportation, lodging and any other expenses for this mission. Community partners and employers may choose to have their own space outside the NS pavilion.
