Multi-Sector Skills Recruitment Mission to the UK and Ireland October 26th to November 3rd 2013
The Nova Scotia Office of Immigration is working closely with partners and the business community to identify and anticipate Nova Scotia’s workforce needs and to address shortages of skilled labour that exist in identified sectors. The UK and Irish markets continues to stand out as reliable sources of immigrants for NS. In October of 2013, the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration plans to lead a multi-sector skills recruitment mission to London, Belfast, and Dublin.
The Nova Scotia Office of Immigration is currently exploring the interest of community partners, business organizations and employers in participating in this mission, with a particular focus in several sectors such as: Engineering; Energy; Ocean Technology; Health; Aerospace and Defense; Information Technology; Financial Services and Life sciences.

- London, England – October 26 & 27 – Working In Exhibition
- Belfast, Northern Ireland – October 31 – Working In Exhibition
- Dublin, Ireland – November 2 & 3 – Working In Exhibition

- There will be a reception and business mixer in Dublin, for all Canadian employers and organizations. It will be hosted by the Canadian ambassador to Ireland, at the embassy.
There is no additional cost to community partners, business organizations and employers interested in participating in the NS pavilion. However, organizations and employers are responsible to cover transportation, lodging and any other expenses for this mission. Community partners and employers may choose to have their own space outside the NS pavilion.
