Multi-Sector Skills Recruitment Mission to

Paris, France & Brussels, Belgium

The Nova Scotia Office of Immigration is working closely with partners and the business community to identify and anticipate Nova Scotia’s workforce needs and to address shortages of skills that exist in identified sectors. France and Belgium continue to stand out as reliable sources of bilingual (French-English) and multilingual immigrants to Nova Scotia. In November of 2012, the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration will lead a mission to the annual Destination Canada Job Fair in Paris and Brussels.

The Nova Scotia Office of Immigration is currently exploring the interest of community partners, business organizations and employers in participating in this mission.

Destination Canada Job Fair (www.destination-canada-forum-emploi.ca) shows:

·         Paris – November 13-15th

·         Brussels - November 17th

Marketing of the Employers before the show - Participant benefits:

Ø  Strong lead and experience from the NS Office of Immigration to guide you in your recruitment in France and Belgium.

Ø  Promotion of Destination Canada to the public in France and Belgium will begin in June with the publication of the 5th annual edition of "S'installer au Canada", a special publication of the French newsmagazine L'Express, the event’s media partner.

Ø  The promotion will continue until October through our partners and in the media.
